Job description:
• Maintain the general ledger
• Maintain asset and depreciation schedule
• Maintain and update accounting records and files
• Post transactions and categorize records in the system for separate entities and vendors
• Reconcile bank statements monthly
• Assist month-end and year-end closures and produce financial statements and other related reports
• Assist and prepare documents for external financial and compliance audits as needed
• Maintain employee records and process office and HHA (aides employees) payroll in Paychex
• Respond to inquiries and provide supporting documentation to related entities and affiliates
• Assist with special projects as assigned
Job Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
• Ability to multi- task with deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Organized, proactive and team-oriented
• Good energy, dynamic, self-starter and eager to learn
• Proficient in MS Excel and Office
• Experience with Paychex and the ERP system, i.e., NetSuite, is preferred, but not required.
